Kota didn’t plan on becoming a DJ.
What started as a late-night Instagram ad for YourShot turned into six weeks of driving to Los Angeles, showing up to classes, and stepping into a world he’d only watched from the outside. No long history behind the decks—just curiosity, commitment, and a willingness to be uncomfortable.
Before that, he had never played for a crowd. Performing under the name Duh.Kota, he was suddenly sharing the stage with his classmates at Catch One in LA. A real club. Real people. Real nerves. Hands shaking, heart racing, focused on staying present and finishing what he started.
It wasn’t polished. It was exciting. It worked.
YourShot took him from practicing in private to showing up in public and proved that the first real step doesn’t require years of experience. It just requires saying yes and seeing it through.
This wasn’t about having everything figured out. It was about starting.
What comes next is still unfolding.
